Description

Omaha Pipes & Drums will kick off the Irish festival by leading the parade from the Shamrock intersection downtown to the festival site. Their repertoire of music includes traditional Scottish and Irish music that has been thrilling audiences since 1970. The band provides free highland bagpipe and drumming lessons, offers scholarships to members and students, and competes in numerous competitions throughout the year.

Father Ray Kelly, the Singing Priest from Oldcastle, County Meath, IRELAND, achieved worldwide YouTube fame when he sang a wedding version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah at a ceremony in St. Brigid’s Church in 2014. Father Ray has since then signed a contract with Universal Music Ireland, performed several concerts worldwide and produced two music CDs.
